Condition

This work is in good condition overall. The sheet is hinged on the reverse intermittently to the backing board and the left edge of the sheet is irregularly cut. There is evidence of wear and handling to the edges of the sheet. There are some scattered soft creases and there are artist’s pinholes intermittently along the edges. There is evidence of stray medium and rubbing consistent with the artist’s working method and choice of medium. There are minor undulations to the sheet and the sheet is very faintly time stained, particularly at the lower left. There is an 8 inch linear vertical abrasion noted at the top right of the sheet near the signature and a 6 inch horizontal tear at the lower left of the sheet with an associated repair. There is a 1 inch loss to the sheet at the top center. Framed under Plexiglas.
