Condition
Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the yellow is deeper in the original.
Condition: Unexamined out of its frame, this work is in very good condition. There is a horizontal crease running towards the upper part of the composition, which appears to be original. Very close inspection in raking light reveals some thin and unobtrusive surfaces scratches and rub marks in places, and a few drying cracks to the areas of thicker paint. Further very close inspection reveals a minute loss to the yellow pigment towards the centre of the composition, which has inhered to the plexiglass. and a few losses in isolated places throughout the composition. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultraviolet light.
