Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is slightly lighter and brighter in the original. Condition: This work is in good condition. Very close inspection reveals some thin and unobtrusive tension cracks in places along the edges as well as some light wear to the corner tips. There are some light rub and handling marks along all four edges, some slight buckling to the canvas in the upper left corner as well as stretcher bar marks along all four edges, all of which are visible in the catalogue illustration. Extremely close inspection reveals two small irregularities to the canvas, one towards the centre of the lower left quadrant with an associated network of unobtrusive hairline cracks, which appear to be stable, and another one towards the centre of the upper right quadrant with some associated unobtrusive hairline cracks, which also appear to be stable. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultraviolet light.
