Colour:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is lighter and brighter than the original. The catalogue illustration further fails to convey the sparkling nature of the sequins, visible in the original.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. Very close inspection reveals some evidence of very light handling and rubmarks along all four edges, as well as some light handling marks to the lower half of the composition, which are likely to be in keeping with artist's working process. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultraviolet light.
