Condition
This work is in very good condition overall. The colors are bright, fresh and clean. There are two pinpoint spots of loss in the black area just above the figure’s chin. Under very close inspection, there is a pinpoint brown spot accretion visible in the left white margin just left of the bottom of the upper yellow area. The edges of the sheet are deckled and obscured by the top mat. There is light evidence of wear and handling along the edges including several media accretions from the time of execution around the white boarder obscured by the top mat. The sheet is hinged verso intermittently along top edge of the sheet to the mat. Framed under Plexiglas.

Catalogue Note
“At first glance, my pictures seem well behaved, as if—that is a still life, O.K. But these things have such crazy give-and-take that I feel they get really very wild.” Tom Wesselmann
