This work is in very good condition overall. There is evidence of wear and handling along the edges including rubbing and associated spots of loss at the upper right corner, lower left corner, lower edge just right of center and two pinpoint spots of loss at the bottom right corner and on the right lateral edge approximately 2 inches above the lower right corner. Under very close inspection, a lightly colored smudge extends approximately 3-inches from the lower right corner edge. Under raking light, faint a stretcher bar impression is visible along the top edge and the canvas protrudes slightly outward at the center upper edge. There is a pinpoint spot accretion below the “R” in the center “complimentary.” Under Ultraviolet light inspection, the aforementioned spot accretion and two spot accretions in the center, only visible under extremely close inspection, fluoresce lightly and do not appear to be the result of restoration.
