This work is in very good condition overall. The canvas is unlined and well-stretched. The media layer is stable, and the colors are vibrant. Two pinpoint spots of paint loss are present: one in the upper center, three inches from the upper edge of the canvas, and one in the extreme upper left corner of the canvas. Additional minor pinpoint spots of loss are present at the extreme edges of the canvas. A faint horizontal scuff measuring two inches in length is present in the lower center, 3/4 of an inch from the lower edge of the canvas. Under ultraviolet light examination, a few minor scattered spots of drip accretion become apparent throughout the canvas, primarily in the violet background areas of the composition. Two areas of fluorescence become apparent: a 1/4 inch horizontal band at the extreme upper right edge, and a fine two-inch horizontal line in the lower left corner. Additional areas of fluorescence are present which appear to be inherent to the pigments selected by the artist. Unframed.
