Condition
Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is slightly lighter in the original.
Condition: Close inspection reveals some small holes and surface irregularities to the frame, which is in keeping with the artist's choice of found materials. There are some irregularities to the fabric, which also appear to be original. Close inspection reveals a few light cracks to the paint, towards the centre of the plate. There are two areas of losses to the paint on both sides of the plate, where the paint edges are slightly raised, and a tiny loss to the upper part of the fork. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultraviolet light.

Catalogue Note
"What justifies my recourse to painting is that it’s the shortest way – or the only way – to translate certain scenarios or situations that cannot be filmed or performed. It’s about entering a situation that could not exist elsewhere, only on the paper or canvas. They are images, and I want for them to live as such – like in a children’s book."
