Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is more blue in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. Close inspection reveals a few tiny media accretions in isolated places, and a few short rub marks towards the lower edge. Further very close inspection reveals some tiny and unobtrusive specks of loss throughout the composition, and a slightly larger loss towards upper left corner. The black around the composition is irregularly painted in places, which appears to be original. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultraviolet light.

Catalogue Note

“I cannot prevent myself from feeling a troubling analogy between my ‘visual kinetics’ and the ensemble of the micro and macrocosm. Everything is there: space, time, bodies, and waves, the relations and the fields. My art transposes nature thus one more time, this moment right now, the one of pure physics that renders the world physically comprehensible.”
