Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the blue is slightly more vibrant in the original. Condition: Close inspection reveals some minor media accretions in places. There are stretcher bar impressions along all edges, and running diagonally through the work with associated cracks. There are further cracks in places throughout the composition, where the paint is slightly lifting, and evidence of a small impact towards the centre of the lower left edge. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultraviolet light.
