Condition
Colour:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate but the overall tonality of the work is more red than illustrated.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. The edges of the canvas are taped and there is evidence of light wear and handling along the edges. Close inspection reveals a few tiny media accretions in places, some of which are possibly original. There is a small repaired tear to the centre of the composition, and two further small surface irregularities; one towards the centre of the right quadrant and one above the figure's head.
