Condition
Colour:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate.
Condition:
This work is in good condition. There is evidence of light wear and handling along edges including minor hairline craquelure at the pull margins with minor associated pinpoint spots of loss and some possible previous frame rub. The surface has been varnished, possibly by the artist. The upper corners are buckling slightly. Under very close inspection, scattered localized areas of hairline craquelure are visible, all of which appear stable, and some light surface abrasions are also visible under extreme inspection. Under Ultraviolet light inspection, a thin line along the edges where the aforementioned possible frame rub is appears to fluoresce darkly and may have benefited from light retouching.
