Overall the condition of the terracotta busts is good with some wear and dirt to the surface consistent with age. There is particular dirt in the crevices, and there are areas of scratching around the truncation and the backs of the head. There are chips to three of the corners of Janssen.
The condition of the two reliefs is good. The bronze of Delbeke has areas of dryness to the patina, greening, and some rubbing to the high points. The cast iron relief of Janssen is slightly corroded on the surface and roughly finished on the edge.
