Condition
Overall the condition of the bronze is good with dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. The bronze was cast in sections and some joints are very slightly visible at the upper arms. There is some rubbing to the patina, in particular to Siegfried's cheeks and the high points of his tunic. There is warping to the sword and there are minor traces of gilding. There is some greening to the bronze, in particular to the crevices. There are some losses and a few loose pieces to the black marble base and the back right hand corner of the base is slightly loose.
