Condition
Overall, the condition of the marble is very good, with minor wear and some dirt to the surface consistent with age. There are a few dirt marks to the front at the clavicles. There are a few naturally occurring inclusions, notably to the proper right cheek. There is some very minor veining to the marble in areas. There are a few flecks of white paint or gesso to the back of the head. The bust has been attached to the socle with gesso, some of which is visible to the sides of the socle. The socle is in good condition overall, with some minor chips and abrasions to the edges.
