Condition

Oil on paper laid on canvas, laid on an additional canvas which is not fully adhering to the right baton of the stretcher. There is a diagonal crease in the lower right corner (as visible in the catalogue illustration) with some associated paint loss. There is also some lifting in the sky in the upper left corner, which could benefit from some consolidation. Ultra-violet light reveals an area of retouching in the sky in the upper left and upper right corners, some spots in the houses to the left and some strokes along the four extreme edges. Presented in simple frame.
