Condition

Overall, the condition of the bronze is good, with some dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is some wear to the patina at the high points, in particular to the legs, the chest and the arms of Mercury. The sceptre is slightly loose but stable. There are some nicks and scratches in areas. The marble base is in good condition, with some naturally occurring inclusions and a few small chips to the edges and corners.
