Condition
Overall measurements; 279cm across the top, 282cm across the bottom, 267cm the left hand side, 268cm the right hand side.
Of unusual small square proportions. Pile 2-3mm down to knotbars. Some minor areas of re-piling, for example some of the blues to the upper right hand side of the medallion, and a further example in the lower right ivory corner. There are sections of repair, for example the lower left and right corners and the lower outer guard stripe, partially extending into the border, visible from photographs as deeper blue. There are other areas of repair, notably to the outer guard stripes, the upper outer guard stripe has been partially repaired running horizontally across from left to right, visible as lighter pink in photograph. The underside has been lined to the edges with herringbone tape, professionally attached with text 'BARIN CARPETS - RESTORATON AND CLEANING, LONDON 020-7731 0546'. Tassled ends later applied, side cords partially original.
