Description

  • the porcelain model approximately 6.5cm., 2 1/2 in. long; overall 56cm., 22in. long
modelled by Franz Anton Bustelli, as the head of Harlequin disguised as a pilgrim with a joyful expression wearing a black hat, the broad brim with a scallop shell badge, the stem terminal with white ruff and puce and gilt foliate moulded section, with a sectional ivory stem,

Condition

There is a small chip to the upper surface of the brim of the hat on the right-hand side, above a small ground down section. Slight flaking to black enamels and to some of the raised moulding on harlequin's hair and cheek.
