Formerly in the collection of The Earl of Iveagh at Elveden Hall, Thetford, Norfolk until sold Christie's, 21-24 May 1984, lot 380.
Condition
This very decorative sedan chair is in good conserved condition. The painted surface with areas of retouching. Putti and cots-of-arms probably later. The upper back panel with one secure horizontal crack, and one visible area of scratching to the bottom panel. The later upholstery with some stained areas.
