Condition
The canvas is lined, the paint surface is stable and the varnish is even but slightly discoloured. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals a thick, milky varnish underneath which some retouchings are visible throughout the composition, most notably in the sitter's chest and face. In overall fair condition.
