Description

  • Mahogany, pine, brass, steel, glass
  • 43cm. 17in. high
5ΒΌ-inch silvered chapter ring, the fusee and chain movement with skeletonised barrels, anchor escapement, high count train with five spokes to most wheels, trip repeat striking on a gong concealed within the base, the finely pierced scroll frame on a plain plinth with silvered plaque signed by the retailer Litherland Davies & Co, Liverpool, on ball feet, the moulded mahogany base with a damaged glass dome 

Condition

Dial in good condition. Movement in good condition but would benefit from a clean and fresh oil. Mahogany plinth is distressed with veneer lacking from top front and mouldings missing from the rear. Glass dome is damaged with two pieces detached from an old repair and a section missing (suitable only as a pattern). With pendulum and winder.
