Condition

This piece contains rosewood so please note the accompanying saleroom notice. Overall in reasonable restored condition with typical chips and loses to the carved detaileconsistent with age and use, notably to the flower petals and claw feet of the casket. There is a stable shrinkage crack to the lid of the casket. The interior of the rosewood caddies with foil residue.The stand with several repaired breaks, notably to the foliate swags issuing from the top, and also with age cracks to the base entirely consistent with age. The surface with ingrained dust and dirt which is sticky to touch and would benefit from a clean according to taste. Generally with minor old marks and scratches consistent with age. A decorative and accomplished piece of carving.
