Description

  • 17.8cm., 7in. over handles
comprising: a baroque style parcel-gilt silver standing cup, pseudo marks, chased and lobed, the stem cast as a standing putto, 28cm., 11in. high; a parcel-gilt silver cup and cover, pseudo Augsburg marks, lobed acorn body, putto finial, openwork scrolling stem, chased domed circular base, 26.6cm., 10 1/2 in. high; a small parcel-gilt silver standing cup/salt, pseudo Nuremberg marks, scrolling shell bowl with falconer finial, stylised dolphin stem, on a folate chased spreading dome foot, 12cm., 4 3/4 in. high; a German silver lobed cup, Neresheimer & Sohne, Hanau, lobed bowl supported on a figural putto stem, spreading lobed circular base, 12.3cm., 4 7/8 in. high; a silver standing cup and cover, Karl Kurz, Hanau, with import marks for London, 1901, lobed Baroque form, the cover with ornate flower urn finial, applied scrolling tree stem, on a lobed spreading domed base, 40cm., 15 3/4 in. high; a silver standing cup/goblet, pseudo marks, cinque-foil tapering bowl, stylised dandy stem, spreading circular base, 21cm., 8 1/4 in. high; a circular silver plate, the border chased in high relief with fruits and flowers, later Polish control mark; 22.5cm., 8 7/8 in. diameter, a pair of silver-mounted 'rubinglass' bottles, unmarked, with lobed silver mounts and covers, 13.3cm., 5 1/4 in. high, a white-metal mounted coconut cup and cover, apparently unmarked, the shell (repaired) carved with Prussian arms and monograms, the stepped cover with baluster knop finial, similar knopped stems on a stepped circular foot, 23.4cm., 9 1/4 in. high, and an ormolu bronze mounted 'rubinglass' bowl, probably 19th century, leaf-embellished bifurcated handles, gadrooned rim, lobed glass body, shaped octagonal flaring pedestal base

Condition

Items have been glued down to furniture at some point, some pieces with residue. All pieces generally good condition as not period. The plate and coconut with the most significant damage. Generally good.
