Condition
Overall the condition of the marble is good, with some wear and dirt to the surface consistent with age. Two sections at the back of the shoulders are carved separately, and some plaster and composite fill is visible at the joints and at the back. There is a loss to the top of one of these sections. There are a few minor chips, including to the drapery around the proper right shoulder. There are also several minor scratches and small inclusions to the marble. There are few specks of dirt, as well as minor staining in areas. There is particular dirt at the back. The bust is supported by a slightly corroded metal bracket, which is visible at the back.
