each with inset lapis lazuli tops on three reeded legs imitating bamboo joined by a shaped undertier; each stamped HD on the rim

Both in very good condition, with minor marks and scratches consistent with age and use, and faint hairline cracks to the top veneer. Some slight tarnishing to the gilt-bronzes.

Henry Dasson (1825-1896) specialised in the reproduction of high quality 18^th century furniture. His work, distinguished by the elevated standard of the gilt-bronze mounts and choice veneers, was frequently featured at the Paris Expositions between the 1870s and 1895.
