10-inch enamel dial signed Girbelin A Paris, the weight-driven pull-wound movement with Brocot-type deadbeat escapement, outside locking plate striking on a bell, the drum case surmounted by three winged putti playing with floral garlands amidst billowing clouds, the pedestal with sun mask, foliate and floral mounts, the trunk door with a glazed panel and a neoclassical mount, the sides with panels of gilt-framed tulipwood parquetry, on paw feet, the concave-sided plinth on toupie feet,

Condition

Dirty throughout. Dial is dirty, glass lacking from bezel. Movement is complete but very dirty and will require complete service and overhaul, weights lacking. Case in very dirty but generally good condition, gilt-bronze mounts are very dirty but appear to retain their gilding, woodwork in generally good condition with a few minor dents and marks. With pendulum but no weights.
