10-inch latched dial with winged cherub spandrels, signed along the lower edge Joseph Knibb Londini Fecit, finely matted centre, good original hands, the movement with five latched knopped and ringed pillars, anchor escapement, outside locking plate striking on a bell, the associated case with formerly rising rebuilt hood, the trunk door inlaid with panels of bird and flower marquetry with green-stained ivory leaves, the rebuilt plinth on bun feet

PROSPECTIVE PURCHASERS SHOULD INSPECT PERSONALLY. Dial in good condition, good original hands. Movement is complete and appears to retain the original wheelwork throughout, lower right dial latch missing, all very dirty and needs complete clean, service and overhaul. Associated case is of the correct period but has ben extensively and heavily restored; hood rebuilt, frets and pilasters replaced, trunk appears to be restored but original, stiles altered, seatboard replaced, plinth completely rebuilt. With pendulum, 2 brass-cased weights, winder and case key.
