Description

  • Brass, steel, enamel, glass
  • 10cm. 4in. diameter
2¼-inch enamel dial with central alarm disc, the movement with six baluster pillars, chain fusee to the going train, verge escapement with plain brass balance mounted on the backplate, pierced and engraved bridge cock, standing barrel to the striking train with trip repeat quarter striking with two hammers on a single bell, signed on the backplate Joseph Kerber, Carlsbaadt, the hexagonal case with repoussé and glazed sides, on scroll feet 

Condition

Dial has minor hair cracks throughout and very minor chips to the inner edge, alarm dial has very minor hair cracks. Movement appears to be complete but is not running and will require complete clean, service and overhaul, hour hammer repaired, quarter hammer missing, later rather poor extensions to the winding squares. Case in generally good condition, gilding is dirty and marked. No winder.
