- Cow leather, pine, brass, silver, steel, glass
- 18cm. 7in. high
2¾-inch champlevé dial with central alarm disc, subsidiary schlagt/S Nicht dial in the arch, the surround repouseé with scrolls, caryatids and mask, the two train fusee movement with verge escapement, the plain three-arm balance mounted on the backplate beneath a decoratively pierced and engraved bridge cock, quarter striking and repeating on a bell, together with the alarm, signed on the backplate Johann Schmidtbaur, Bamberg, the case with suspension loop, glazed side panels and engraved with trellis, on gilt scroll feet; in the original fitted leather case with carrying handle
Condition
Dial in good condition, good original hands. Movement appears to be complete but not currently working and will require cleaning, service and overhaul. Case in good condition. Travelling case is dirty with many old scuffs, marks and minor losses throughout. With a winder.
