modelled with head turned left and perched on tree stump molded with moss, faint crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue.

Condition

Sotheby's Scientific Research department used noninvasive XRF for this lot to screen the green enamel for chromium, which was not detected. In good condition apart from its tail has been off and restored back. Its talons have been restored and there is a pinhead chip to the nail of one left talon.
