marked on bases, all pieces with marks for circa 1930's, except creamer with marks for 1925-32

Catalogue Note

Gordon Mendelssohn, son of the founder of General Motors, was a well-known figure in Michigan society as a patron of the arts and a prominent supporter of new architecture and theater programs at the University of Michigan. This set was made for his yacht "Quartermore".
