Condition

The ceramic is sound. There are two vertical repaired cracks (the larger of which is approx. 25 cm long) with an associated line of retouching visible under UV light running from the upper edge of the vase. There are some scattered original losses to the glaze and a few air bubbles inherent to the firing process. The glaze is slightly erased in places. There is a minor chip (approx. 0.2 cm wide) to the centre of the vase, to one of the sitters' back as well as other small chips to the base. There are a few fine lines of craquelures predominately to the orange and black pigments and some scattered handling marks. This work is in fairly good condition.
