Condition

The illustration of the catalogue is accurate. As stated in the catalogue, the gilding is rubbed and tarnished especially to the horizontal bar with scrolls, next to the phoenix. The pair of chenets would benefit from a gentle cleaning. Extremely rare representation of the mythological bird.
