Condition

Overall the condition of this bust is very good with minor wear to the patina and surface dirt consistent with age and handling. There is a small knock visible to both of her eyebrows. There is a fine chiseling all over the surface and hammering to her hair.

Catalogue Note

This bronze is probably a portrait bust of the Princess of Craon, born Lucie-Virginie de Choiseul-Praslin (1794-1834), who married the Prince Charles-Just de Beauvau Craon, 4th Prince de Beauvau (1793 - 1864).
