Description

  • Porcelain
comprising three vases and covers, and two blue and white beaker vases, each painted with floral motifs within a cartouche reserved against a geometrical ground

Condition

From left to right : All the vases have some minor firing imperfections. 1 H : 38.4 cm There is a ca. 3 cm hairline crack starting at the rim and extending diagonally into the neck. There are traces of worn gilding, probably later added. 2 H : 39 cm There is a ca. 25 cm glaze crack on the body. There is a ca. 15 cm glaze crack on the inside. 3 H : 42 cm The vase has been broken in several pieces and restored with some associated losses (a ca. 1X1 cm hole on the side). There are some glue stains visible around the restorations. The cover with two ca. 2.4 and a ca. 1.2 cm chips. 4 H : 41 cm There are some glaze chips on the rim. There are pinpoint firing flaws on the body. The cover with a ca. 6 cm chip. The base is slightly warped and there is a ca. 1 cm chip on the foot. 5 H: 42.5 cm The base has probably been restored.
