- ceramics
painted on the exterior with phoenix among rockwork, and on the interior with carp amongst weed, the rim with blue enamel cloud panels alternating with triangular foliate-edged iron-red scroll panels, applied mask handles with metal rings.

Condition
There are two large star cracks to the sides, approx 10 inch by 8 inch and 8 inch by 6 inch. One mask handle is a plaster replacement. There is typical fritting around the rim edges and one very minor shallow, less than 1/4 inch rim chip.
Some rubbing to the enamels on the interior, especially in the base and some discolored limescale adhering to the interior.
