Pile ranges from approx. 1/8th in. to low to knot heads in scattered foldwear areas. Some very minor visible spot foundation, only visible on close inspection, not extensive. Carpet has been chemically washed to soften colour palette, resulting in some unevenness in dyes. Some very light surface dirt and stains, most prominent of which is in the center of the carpet as visible in the illustration. Original wool selvedges, generally intact with some minor overcasting and reselvedging. Lower right corner with a 7 in. x 2 ft. area rewoven. Ends secured with a blanket stitch. Extremely supple handle, good overall condition, ready for use.
