Pile ranges from 1/8th in. to low to knot heads in areas of scattered minor foldwear, not extensive. Upper left corner border with some long thin interconnecting reweaves, each section about 14 in. long. Repaired hole in same border. 1 approx. 16 in. long repaired slit where left border and inner guard border meet. A few smaller repaired slits, mostly into sides and ends. All slits are well restored and mostly visible on reverse. Sides later overcast with some minor breaks and restitching. Ends with a few rows of knots rewoven and with later cotton finish. Extremely supple handle, lustrous wool, good overall condition. Very attractive ottoman inspired overall design.
