Condition
pile ranges from generally good near original approximately 1/6th in. matted down to low to 1/8th in. and knot heads in partially oxidized browns and some very minor moth damage, not extensive. Right side outer guard border with a 2in. x 2in. reweave. Left side outer guard stripes with some small scattered reweaves. Center of rug with some hardened residue, possibly candle wax. Surface dirt throughout. Will greatly enhance with a thorough cleaning. Sides with original two cord selvedges which are now re-done in a few scattered areas where outer guard border/stripes have been re-done, not extensive. Some very small reweaves into end guard border on lower end, not extensive. Ends with original flatwoven finishes with some minor reweaves. Very lustrous wool, supple handle, field and borders generally intact. Good overall condition will enhance with cleaning.
