The illustration of the catalogue is accurate. Good overall condition. The ormolu elements: the mounts are partly later. The gilding is very slightly rubbed and tarnished. The veneer : the marquetry and the veneer are partly later. There are some minor restorations to the veneer. The veneer is flacking to one minor area on the front. The inner drawers have been fitted in a later period. A few traces of woodworm underneath. As stated in the catalogue, the secrétaire has been transformed and the crowned C marks are probably later. The marble top is in good overall condition. Highly decorative piece with a very nice marble top.
