Description

  • Haut. 47 cm, larg. 37 cm
décorée en laque rouge, verte et ocre (tianqi) incisée et soulignée à l'or (qiangjin), sur fond brun, le plateau carré à pans coupés décoré de ruyi et de chauve-souris dans des rinceaux feuillagés et lotus stylisés, la ceinture ajourée et ornée de lotus et rinceaux stylisés, ce décor repris sur les pieds cambrés reposant sur une baguette quadrilobée servant de base

Condition

All four legs of the stool have been off and reattached where they join the top of the stool. There are areas of loss to the lacquer around the rim of the stool top, the legs and the spandrels joining the legs at the base. There are water stains to the top and legs and slight fading of the lacquer where it was exposed to light.
