Condition

A l'oeil nu: Les deux tableaux ont fait l'objet d'un rentoilage dans la première moitié du XXe siècle. Les tableaux sont sous un vernis sale, irrégulier. Concernant le tableau représentant une barque de pêcheurs au milieu de l'estuaire : On remarque à l'œil nu une couture de toile verticale à 50 cm du bord droit. On constate une restauration circulaire de 5 cm. vers le bas au centre, dans la verdure du rivage. On constate des usures dans les fonds ainsi qu'un petit manque du au frottement du cadre. On remarque aussi des repeints dans les nuages. A la lampe U.V. : Le tableau apparait sous un vernis vert irrégulier. On constate les restaurations déjà signalées. Pour le tableau représentant un personnage assis sur le rivage : On remarque deux coutures de toile verticales, l'une au milieu de la composition, l'autre à 10 cm. du bord droit. On constate de nombreux repeints et des petits manques épars. A la lampe U.V. : Le tableau apparait sous un vernis vert irrégulier. On constate une restauration sur le bord gauche au niveau du tronc d'arbre. On remarque de nombreux repeints autour de la barque, dans l'eau et dans la végétation. To the naked eye: The two paintings have been relined on the 1st half of the 20th century. The paintings appear under an uneven dirty varnish. Concerning the painting with a fishermen boat: We notice, to the naked eye, a vertical canvas seam (50 cm. from the right border). We notice a circular restoration of 5 cm. diam. on the lower centre, on the shore green foliage. We notice some wears on the background and a small loss on the right due to the frame rubbing. We also notice some repaints on the clouds. Under U.V. light: The painting appears under a green uneven varnish. We notice the restorations already mentioned. Concerning the painting with a figure seated on the shore: We notice two canvas seam, one in the middle and the other one 10 cm. from the right border. We also notice numerous repaints and some small losses. Under U.V. light: The painting appears under a green uneven varnish. We notice one restoration on the left border, on the trunk. We notice many repaints around the boat, on the water and on the vegetation.
