Condition

The illustration of the catalogue is accurate. Good overall condition. The gilding is slightly tarnished. The porcelain is in fine condition. The covers are missing and one gilt-bronze base has been changed. Very nice quality of chasing. Please note that the porcelain body of these two vases is made with 1775 Sevres teapot, one in hard paste porcelain painted with landscapes, the other in soft paste porcelain painted with soldiers. Handles and spouts have been deleted. This is characteristic of the work of Philippe Claude Maelrondt in the 1820's. Apart teapot's porcelain covers missing and spouts & handles erased, the porcelain and gilding are in good condition.
