Condition

The image is quite accurate. Very nice timber of mahogany. One tiny hairline shrinkage crack on left side, two on the right side. Expected scratches and tiny chips the marble top. Very elegant piece of furniture in good condition overall.

Notre commode illustre la maîtrise et le soin avec lesquels Leleu savait choisir et travailler les plus belles essences d'acajou. Le placage uni met en valeur les lignes novatrices de la production de l'ébéniste durant la décennie 1780, notamment l'élégant détail des pans coupés rentrants encadrant la façade.
