Condition

The painting is in a rather good condition. It has been recanvassed a bit strongly in the first half of the XXth century. We notice old accidents, and old holes which have been restored. There were under the medal of Henri IV and in between the pistols. The painting has been cleaned up. Under the UV light : We can't see any remain of an old varnish and we see restorations on the places already mentioned.
