Condition

Good condition overall with minor wear and oxidation to the gilding and surface dirt consistent with age and handling. Minor scratches visible at several places and and larger one above the croup of one dear. Oxidation particularly visible to the shoulders of a deer and along its front legs down to the base, probably due to water. Minor verdegris visible at several places. The ears and legs are cast separately with joints and plugs barely visible. Cast plugs visible at several place. Very good quality cast for this highly decorative pair of gilt bronze dears.

Catalogue Note
