Condition
The canvas is not lined. There is some frame rubbing and associated flecks of paint loss along the upper and lower edges and some gold residue from previous framing visible intermittently along all four edges. There is a milky varnish preventing UV light from fully penetrating, however there appears to be three horizontal lines of retouching towards the lower edge, the longest of which is approximately 5 cm long, There are a few further spots and lines of retouching in places predominately along the edges. There are very faint circular lines of craquellure only visible in a rackling light. There is a small surface scratch towards the upper part of the left edge. This work is in good condition.
