Condition

White marble with a velvet cushion. There is some very light wear to the cushion which is otherwise very good condition. Examination under UV light appears to show no signs of breakages. There is some dust to the surface and this work could benefit from a light clean. This work is in very good condition.

Catalogue Note

The Hermaphrodite appears in an airbrush painting on paper in 1919 and was later transformed into an object, published in editions and multiples. The present work in white marble was published in 1971, in an edition of 8 examples (GEM Montebello).
