Condition

The board is stable. There is some loss to the very edge of the board. Examination under UV light appears to show no signs of retouching. There are some spots of pigment loss towards the edges in particular to the upper part of the oval. There is some paint shrinkage to the thicker pigments. Colours are bright and fresh and there is a lovely thick impasto. This work is in overall good condition.
